The Solid Grounds Coffee Stop a satellite operation of the Solid Grounds Coffee House at 6504 S. Broadway) is open for business in the student center Monday through Friday from 7:00am-1:00pm and Monday nights from 6:00pm-8:00pm


Fall 2010 Convocation

Convocation is Tuesday, September 7th at 11:00am in the Chapel.  Please join us as we celebrate the official start of the academic year.  Student Body President Matt Read will be giving the charge to the Faculty and President Mark Young will be giving the address.


Vine, Vision & Voice

VVV is a ministry of spiritual formation with creativity beginning Monday, September 13th from 6:30 – 8:30pm and continuing through November 29th. VVV is for women who hunger for deepened intimacy with Christ and are eager to engage an intentional spiritual formation journey. Space is limited – only 20 women will be included. VVV meets for twelve weeks, plus a “So what?” Retreat. Retreat dates: December 5-6, at Denver Seminary. The cost is $10 per session, or $150. Student Insurance

Student Insurance information can be found on MyDenSem where there are options to enroll in the group health insurance plan sponsored by Denver Seminary as well as individual plan options. The open enrollment period for the group plan is August 16, 2010 through September 10, 2010.  Coverage will begin August 25th or the date of enrollment, whichever is later.  Please see the plan brochure for details regarding coverage. After reviewing the information on MyDenSem, please feel free to contact Heather Taylor with any questions you might have. Please note:  Health insurance is still required for all international students and their dependents for the duration of their studies at Denver Seminary.

 

Insurance agent Tim Noel with National Benefits will be on campus in the Student Center Tuesday, Sept 7th from 12 – 3pm and Wednesday, Sept 8th from 10am – 1pm.  He will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding the Denver Seminary sponsored group plan as well as provide information regarding the dental/vision options. 



Loan Refund Checks

Due to the required transition to the direct loan program and some inherent delays which have come with that transition, students will be allowed to pick up loan refund checks on Fridays between noon and 3:30 p.m. upon presenting a photo ID.  Checks remaining after 3:30 p.m. will be mailed to the address on file.  To verify the address on file, click on the Personal Info link beside your name after signing in to MyDenSem.  Completed Change of Address forms may be dropped off at the Information Receptionist Desk in the Graber Building.



Logos Bible Software Student Discount

Logos has made their Bible software available to Denver Seminary Students for a discounted price. Click here to see prices and place and order. Discounts are good through 12/31/10.

Library Book Sale

The Carey S. Thomas Library will sponsor a book sale Fri. Sept. 10th & Mon. Sept. 13th – Fri. Sept. 17th, 9am-4pm in Room 123, the Library Administration area.

Sept. 10th is for the faculty, staff and students only. The sale is open to the public the 10th – 13th. Payment is by cash or check only! NO PREVIEWS!
